The British Masters returns after 7 years to the European Tour. Hosted by Ian Poulter at Woburn Golf Club, there is excitement around this event. Ian Poulter himself is a bookie favourite at 20/1 with the event being played at his home club. As host he will be looking to do well at the British Masters this week.
Jamie Donaldson is back on form with strong performances in the past few weeks. The Welshman came T-13 at the Alfred Dunhill and T-5th at the Porsche in Germany. It's been an odd season for Donaldson but finding form at the right time ahead of the Race to Dubai. He has made 13 cuts this year and looks like a strong contender for the title.
Soren Kjeldson has been amazing since his European Tour victory at the Irish Open. T-2 at the Made in Denmark with two top 10 finishes in the past two events. The Dane is at 25/1 and is consist at the moment. This one could be a very good each way bet.
It's 5 top 5 finishes for Chris Wood this year. A T-4 last week at the Alfred Dunhill was a very positive result for him following two failed cuts in the previous two events. A return to form for Wood and if he is in the mix come Saturday he could really challenge.
6 top 5 finishes including 2 victories has been a sensational season for Aphibarnat. Winner of the Paul Lawrie Match Play and the Shenzhen International. 50/1 for a solid player...oh go then.
Two Englishmen finish off this week's tips and one may be a surprise. Morrison has been knocking on the door for a while now and at 50/1 is a good outside bet particularly as a Each way. Nick Dougherty is my outsider at 300/1. The Sky Sports commentator is once again on the course following a strong performance at the Alfred Dunhill. This course will suit the Englishman and another strong performance may convince him that his rightful place is on the course rather than in the commentary box.
