two in week this time to spice things up. however it does mean i have to be a bit more cautious and go for four in each. a small profit last week means i can go four in each.
well the field is not as strong as some top europeans will be playing in the barclays. it means the odds are lower for players that would usually have higher odds. James morrison has always been on my radar and rightfully so. had a strong uspga for a european...18/1 second favourite is testament to his rise.
dredge had a fantastic made in denmark where he finished t-2. good form but also played well in this tournament last year also t-2. at 25/1 this one is a no brainer.
sticking with daniel brooks as my long shot. although t-44th at made in denmark he may pull off a surprise like he did at the scottish open...well i hope so anyway. hopefully a top 6 given the weakened field.
justin rose is joint second favourite alongside jason day. Jason day will possibly have the infamous major hangover hence why i opted for rose. if his putter (and it's a if with justin) finally gets going he will win at a canter. the best tee to green player on the tour. i just hope he's been working on his putting following his close contention at whistling straits. remember the old saying justin...driver for show, putter for dough.
Paul casey's resurgence has always impressed me. only a few years ago he was plagued with injury, had to fight to keep his tour card and personal problems. now all that is sorted following his marriage to pollyanna woodward and a young baby...daddy paul is now becoming daddy cool. t-3rd last week has certainly made me place some cash on him.
Lingmerth is my outsider (again). I like this guy. strong player at silly odds again. remember he was top 10 at whistling straits, winner of the memorial. all david needs to do is strong four rounds together and he will be a contender. Lingmerth however, has an annoying tendancy to have 3 epic rounds with 1 shocker. had it not been for his shocking saturday at the uspga...he would have won.
