With the odds for the likes of Lydia Ko and Stacy Lewis so short for this one, Golfhacker is here to give you the information on our 6 to watch at the LPGA Taiwan Championship.
Suazann Petterson, fresh from her Solheim Cup controversy, finished T-7 at the HanaBank Championship. 6 top 10's and a victory at the Manulife Classic as been a average season for Petterson. This one likes to win and a fierce competitor as proven at the Solheim Cup. 16/1 is a little short given the kind of season she has had but anyone worth their salt wouldn't bet against her.
2 Victories on the LPGA this year with 7 top 10 finishes to boot puts Sei Young Kim 5th on the LPGA money list this year. Aside from the usual suspects of Lydia Ko, Stacey Lewis and Inbee Park, this one to watch. Her odds don't really represent her talent and could do every well for you as an Each Way at 33/1.
Munoz has had 4 Top 10's this year and currently the world number 27. An excellent ball striker and solid player. At 40/1 she is a good outside bet. On her day she can be a real contender.
With 7 cuts this year, Jessica Korda may not jump out on the list of contenders for this one. However, her first victory of the year at the Sime Darby two weeks ago is proof of her talent. 5 top 20 finishes this year...it really is a case of which Korda will turn up. One for the cut, or one to contend...at 66/1 we will hope that the Korda at the Sima Darby will be there.
Morgan Pressel is itching for a win this season yet so far has been unsuccessful. It would be all to easy to dismiss her yet here is someone who has achieved 6 top 10 finishes this season. A strong Solheim Cup and an impressive record in the the years Majors. 5 Top 5's finishes this year from 25 tournaments. Number 9 on the LPGA money list for the season, At 80/1 she is well worth a punt.
Sandra Gal was in the top 10 at this event last year. 8 top 20 finishes for the German this year on the LPGA suffering only 1 cut. Gal's 100/1 hardly reflects a player of her talent and Golfhacker is expecting good things from Gal.
