We may only be three tournaments into the new PGA season but one thing has been pretty special and that is the form of Kevin Na. 3 top 3 finishes out of 3. Whatever guide you read you must admit that that is pretty hot. At 25/1 he starts as 11th favourite but expect a lot of money to be placed on him whilst he is on this streak.
World number 7, Henrik Stenson, may have had an unconvincing start to his PGA season at the CIMB Classic but as they say, form is temporary but class is forever. This man is a class act and could easily find form...he'll want to, with the Race to Dubai being his target.
17th at the CIMB Classic was Branden Grace. A strong run on the Majors and an impressive President's Cup as the Internationals top point scorer means this player is one to keep a close eye on. At 40/1 he is a strong outside bet in a strong field.
Most of our American Cousins may not have heard of Kiradech Aphibarnrat but overlook him at your peril. Three top 5's in a row on the European Tour and 2 wins this season. When's he's on that kind of form at those odds...well it doesn't take a genius to think he must worth something. Currently 9th on the Race to Dubai...he'll be looking to extend his amazing run.
Our main outsider is David Lingmerth. Golfhacker really likes him and wishes he'd come on the European Tour so he could make the European Ryder Cup team. However, he seems to like it on the PGA Tour. Needs to be more consistent over the four days to stand a chance but when's good...he's awesome. Came T-14 at the CIMB Classic and could be a good Each Way bet. At 125/1 stranger things can happen. We had Shane Lowry at the same odds when he won the Bridgestone.
Branden Grace finishes 5th which is good enough for a 22pt pay out. Not bad and could have been worse had Dustin Johnson made a birdie on the last hole...phew!
