Not only will we be providing media coverage of the inaugural European Senior Masters at the Forest of Arden this week but a further surprise also came our way.

The Digital Magazine has also been asked to dust off our clubs and actually play alongside a professional for the Alliance event that takes place on Friday and Saturday. The event will decide the playing positions for the professionals for the final round. Impressed by our coverage at the British Par 3 Championship where we worked alongside GolfPunk, the event organisers Champions PLC have asked if we could do the same again.

Editor and founder of Golfhacker Magazine, Nick Kevern will tee up and do battle at the Forest of Arden. Interviews, our player diary about the experience and coverage via our social media channels will bring you closer to the event.
Golfhacker's Editor, whose handicap is pretty high, said: "Teeing up at the  British Par 3 Championship was pretty nerve-wracking. I've never played golf with crowds watching before but something must have worked seeing that our professional, Ashley Mason, stormed it. He finished second in the end. Hopefully, we can inspire our professional at the European Senior Masters to do the same or better. Champions PLC runs some great events and to be asked to appear again is a real honour. I guess we are doing something right as we aim to bring to golf to the masses and show that anyone can play this wonderful game. However, I hope the crowds get used to my cries of "Fore!" as I'm Golfhacker by name and nature"

As always, Golfhacker will be working alongside our friends at GolfPunk who are the official Media partner for the event. Our coverage will once again appear on our site and in the next issue of Golfhacker that is due for release at the end of October.

Golfhacker is also in the mood to celebrate as we welcomed our 30,000th unique reader earlier this month to our digital magazines. Including downloads, the magazines have been read over 50,000 times and the number continues to grow as readers explore our previous issues that are all free. We will also be launching our new travel magazine shortly as the brand continues to grow.

The European Senior Masters is a free to attend event with names such as Paul McGinley, Ian Woosnam, Sam Torrence and host, Peter Baker, all in competition.
